Cornwall's Christianity has a Celtic accent all of its own, remembered in saints' names from St Ives to St Austell. John Wesley preached to thousands at Gwennap Pit, and Methodism became woven into Cornish life in a way seen nowhere else in England. Truro Cathedral, completed in 1910, crowns the county's church landscape.
